We highly recommend that you take some time to explore the Amalfi Coast during your stay in Italy. It will be high season, so please keep this in mind when planning. Book in advance and allow time for travel, as getting around can be difficult when it’s busy.

Below are some places you might want to consider visiting:

Ravello

This is where our wedding celebration will be! Ravello’s mountaintop location away from the main road does require a bit of extra effort to get there, especially if you’re not driving. But once you get to Ravello, you’ll see that it is worth it. If you are building in any leisure time, enjoy an evening aperitivo in the piazza and watch the world go by - and the Villa Cimbrone Gardens are a must-see.

Amalfi

Amalfi is a 10-15 minute drive from Ravello. There are local buses that can take you, which run daily every hour. Sunday times are slightly different. Make sure to stop and admire Amalfi Cathedral: you can’t miss it as it’s the star attraction of the town. There’s plenty to do in Amalfi; you can head to the beach, dine at one of the many restaurants, enjoy some traditional ‘gelato’, and it’s by far the best place to get your souvenirs.

You can take boat trips from Amalfi to many places such as Positano, Sorrento, Minori and Capri.

Capri

You can do a day trip to Capri from Amalfi: it takes around 50 minutes to get to the island. There are big boats that go there daily. If you’re looking for a private boat that will take you, get in touch as we have family contacts for this. Capri is where the rich and famous drop anchor along the shore showing off their superyachts! Great for people watching, lovely food, shopping - a fabulous day out!

Positano

No Amalfi Coast tour would be complete without visiting Positano. It’s the most popular and one of the most picturesque towns in the region. It has a vibrant nightlife and fantastic shopping too! If you’re feeling active, the Path of the Gods is a 6.5km hike that takes you high above Positano and offers stunning views of the Amalfi coastline. The hike takes you between the towns of Bomerano and Nocelle and is not too difficult. We suggest setting out early to avoid the heat and crowds: make a day of it!
